The business value of folksonomy and xFolk

After looking for a lot of discussion about folksonomies, we can ask which use you can do practically of them. An example on Bokardo Bloglines introduces “unique to me�, What are microformats good for?, and Naming:

What I’m not sold on yet is the usefulness of microformats. I don’t have any use for them yet, and as far as I can see there has been a lot of pushback on the “nofollow� microformat. But what about the others? I know of rubhub.com, but what use is it? Any ideas out there? I’m new to this stuff…

I’m following with interest his posts one xFolk (as i’m doing with the XFML for faceted classification). I’m sure that we lack a standardized way to export and share information about classification. A standard is of course needed for automatic tools to explode. A good example is facetMap for Faceted Browsing.

I’m starting to think about a WP plug-in to incorporate a faceted classification inside WP.
